Objectives

  • The project sought to ensure sources of income and food for displaced Afro-Colombian communities, through agricultural projects.

 

Activities

  • Construction of infrastructure and resources for animal breeding such as hog farming, fishing, poultry (laying hens and broilers).

Results

  • Increase in the income of the beneficiary families, and of their food choices with the consumption of products raised independently.

2. Water tanks for Chocó

Objectives

  • In order to respond to the lack of a sewage system, aqueduct and the pollution of the rivers in the region, the project was aimed at strengthening the rainwater supply system for human consumption.

 

Activities

  • Purchase of 100 water tanks.

  • Installation of tanks.

  • Community training in the use and maintenance of tanks.

Results 

  • Beneficiary families were able to gain access to a safe and sustainable water supply, which had positive impact on their health.
