CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION:
Early years are fundamental in people’s development. With this in mind, we promote projects that offer children, a safe environment, the care and education they require to realize their full potential. Tamarin Foundation prioritizes projects that focus on improving or building educational and recreational spaces that go hand in hand with empowerment processes, capacity building and development of both children, and their environments (e.g. families, community, school).
ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Caring for the environment must be a priority in the communities we support. We are committed to initiatives that implement practices that promote the environmental sustainability of our society and the world in which we live in. Specifically, we support projects that clearly contribute to waste and environmental management, conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity.
INCOME GENERATION
Work dignifies people and promotes the economic development of communities. In this way, we support projects that offer innovative opportunities for entrepreneurship and income generation, specifically in rural areas of the country.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Health understood as a state of physical and mental well- being is essential to ensure the full development of individuals from the earliest years of life. That is why we support projects that promote health and have a solid foundation for community progress. Some of the priorities identified include support for projects that strengthen sexual and reproductive rights, nutrition and WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene).
